We just finished our first session and these are my impressions:
  • Character generation now gives a lot more choices, PRO: diversity, CON: takes longer
  • Gameplay is faster (everything is based on proficiency now)
  • Three actions instead of one move, one standard, one immediate, etc. is more easier to grasp for most
  • Multi-Attack is available early and handled the same for everyone
  • Magic-users sometimes can cast and attack with a weapon in the same round!
  • Monsters are easier to play, too, due to action listings
  • Didn't get the new poison rules straight
  • PCs endure longer
  • Cantrips are more interesting now and seem a good fallback for magic-users
What are your impressions?

Haven't played. Decided to shelve it when the pitch fell through so I could get two 5E campaigns going.

Sounds like a great game! Would you say it's more high-powered fantasy now? Even higher powered than 1E?

It's difficult to say, we just started out on level 1. My gut feeling is that it is somewhat higher powered than PF1. The players were "complaining" nonetheless. I guess, next time we need to look more at AID and ASSIST.
