Unable to login using existing account if logged to CL with another email address

This may be a corner case, but it seems that it's not possible to login if the following are true:
  • created a forum account using a different email address than with Campaign Logger
  • attempt to login from a machine where I am logged in to CL
On the login page, I have my gmail address (that I used with CL) already filled in.

When I click the login button, it takes me to the Registration page instead (probably because my gmail address had not registered to this forum).

I have seen this now on 2 devices: phone and Windows PC.

I left my cookies intact and created a second account instead. This might be useful for testing purposes, if nothing else.

Sorry, I don’t think I can duplicate the issue now that the old accounts have been removed. But my theory is that the forum software noticed my existing CID cookie and instead of allowing me to register a new account, took me to the login page with the CID email already filled in and uneditable.

When I removed the CID cookies, I was able to set up another account as expected.
