Greetings, I just bought my first piece from RPT (NPC Generator) to help replace Johnn's printer :D haha. Been reading the emails for years but figured I would join after getting his email. I didn't know this existed. I kind of wish it was a discord channel to keep everything in one place, but it's nice to have another place to talk and ask questions.

I have ran a Play-By-Post (PBP) Ptolus campaign since 2017 and it's an absolute blast. I've got a website and Youtube channel dedicated to Ptolus but I won't share those links here for fear of them being spam.

Welcome to our forum, @Narrator!
Actually, there is a discord channel: RoleplayingTips (https://discord.gg/JFsnDMq)
I find topics are much better separated in the forum, but if you need instant people to talk to about something, the discord form might be better.

You don't need to worry about spam if you post it in your own profile, I believe. Then you can post a link to your profile or invite people to your profile. I would be interested to look at your Ptolus channel and read your PBP Ptolus campaign.

Paul from California, living now in Saudi Arabia.

I GM for my four kids and the neighborhood; running a grown-ups game when I can.

I'm one of the few here who hasn't been playing for 30 years. :) I started when I read it's a great way to get kids to do the dishes. Paying for chores with made up gold has been a huge parenting win.

Favorite die: D12

What a devious, nice idea, Paul!
I‘ve never thought about paying my kids for chores… welcome to the community!

I'm Andrew an animator in Portland, Oregon. I'm a late bloomer to the TTRPG world. Started with running Star Wars Edge of the Empire for a few years before diving into actual Dungeons and Dragons..

Current game I'm running is for Adventures in Middle Earth formerly published by Cubicle 7 and based on 5E rules with a good sprinkling of Index Card RPG. Currently prepping myself to run Call of Cthulhu. Also love End of the World and Symbaroum.

All my dungeons have five rooms.

Welcome aboard our mothership of game masters, Andrew.
If you have any questions regarding RPGs or issues you think about during preparation don't hesitate to ask.
On another note, I would love to read about your Middle Earth adventures or on how you prep to run Call of Cthulhu. Just start a new thread under Roleplaying Games, if you want to share.

Hello everyone! My name is Amelia and I'm so excited to be here 😊 I'm a professional DM, a science educator, and a learning design specialist and I've been playing TTRPGs for a little over a decade now. D&D 5E is my main jam but I've been getting into Call of Cthulhu, Lancer, and Blades in the Dark lately as well.

Right now I'm running a heavily modified Dragon Heist campaign (more heisting! actual dragons!), a campaign using the Call from the Deep module by JVC Parry on DMs Guild, a Humblewood campaign, and I'm gearing up for a Barovia/Lamordia Ravenloft campaign.

I also run regular one-shots for birthday parties, corporate team building, etc. Right now I'm using on the Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh adventure for those. I love working with pre-written adventures and modifying them to make them work for me and my groups.

I'm also working on developing a few courses on DMing as well as a program for schools that intentionally infuses social-emotional learning into roleplaying experiences.

I'm a denizen of Chicago, a fellow scorpio (happy late birthday, Stephan!), and my favorite die is the D8. I couldn't tell you why.

Hey. Here's an old guy that is planning on getting his group back together post Covid. I have to do my homework first and we have one player that needs one more shot.
I've been playing RPGs since late 1974 or early 1975. I started with the original D&D pamphlets in a little white box (that I still have).
I'm now playing Pathfinder 1.0 or will be soon.
Happy Birthday, Gavin! I hope your Pathfinder 1.0 adventures were a blast.
Are you currently running a group?

Welcome, Delmiac!
What is NaNoWriMo?

nanowrimo (https://nanowrimo.org/) is an organization that encourages writers through community and providing tools for writers of all levels. The name originates from National Novel Writing Month which is November and a time when writers are encouraged to write 50,000 words on that project that you never seem to get to. :)

Hello, my name is Kevin McG and I reside in Southern Illinois. I've run a variety of games over my allotted time here on Earth (Robotech, Heroes Unlimited, 1st & 2nd Editions of D&D, Call of Cthulhu), but am currently running 5e. I've been playing or running games since (GASP) the 6th grade (DOUBLE GASP) 36 years ago (!?!). My favorite die is the 20-sided. It's the one that's most likely going to make those who don't play TTRPGs go 'What the heck is that?'

"Well..." I would always reply then. "Let me tell you about this game we're playing..."
Happy Birthday, Kevin!!
How are you coping with gaming lately? Do you play via a virtual tabletop?
