Today I finished a little project for my Splittermond game: Telars (copper), Lunars (silver), and Solars (gold) - printed and colored for a better feel of coin sizes:

Nice job! I was planning to order some metal coins from China but spent too much time comparing the options, and now international mail is in chaos. Plastic coins look like a good alternative.

Yes, and depending on the system and your nerd level you can even calculate the correct sizes based on buying power, relative metal value, and material densities. :)

I may abandon perfectionism for this endeavor. :geek: I just wish that plastic coins could emulate the weight and sound of actual metal...

With its rapidly opening stretch goals, Terrain Tinker looks like it could develop into a treasure trove of terrain and building printables, including an editor that allows you to upload your own STL files:
Terrain Tinker is an easy-to-use online terrain builder that allows you to design buildings and dungeons for 3D printing. Terrain Tinker has been developed with Printable Scenery over the last year to create a practical terrain building application that uses all of the Printable Scenery OpenLOCK collection. When you're finished designing, you can export your creation as a print-ready combined model or separate OpenLOCK parts.

I am still trying to get Townsmith swallowed. My first printing attempts were full of unconnected objects, letting my buildings fall apart.

Yeah, that seems to be a common complaint. The creators have recognized that the construction tool requires several hours of study and experimenting before you get workable results. To alleviate this, they are now running another Kickstarter for ready-made buildings on a subscription basis.

Townsmith is now kickstarting an offline PC tool:
With the support of our Kickstarter backers, we have built Townbuilder as a web-based tool. Now we're ready for the next step in our journey: to make Townbuilder faster, better, and work offline on your own computer.
