I think I like the one without subgraphs best. :D Thank you so much for doing the investigation for me. You've been an amazing help.

Question of the Week: What’s your favorite monster?

(Demi) Humanity. I've found the most visceral campaigns to be those where the opposition is a person or organization the players can sympathize with. For example, in my last campaign the players were working to keep Morgoth (Middle Earth) from escaping The Void. If he did, a prophecy would be...

For the subgraph option, is it possible to do the arrows between all nodes like above? For instance, B, C, and D all going to F? Pretty is good but if it's a choice between substance and style I'll go with the first one every time. :)

Thanks! Is it possible to put labels on the arrows. They're not necessary but I've found them helpful. Each line is a clue and a one or two word description of the clue means less scrolling up and down between the graph and the nodes' descriptions.

Poll: What was the first non-D&D system you ever GM'd?

It took a long time for me to realize that, too. A disjointed party often ends up in a disjointed campaign. A focused group tends to also focus their sights on one or two goals.

Poll: What was the first non-D&D system you ever GM'd?

Definitely. Hence the "bad at saying no" part. :) I don't know why, but it's harder for me with my current group. Back when I ran Exalted it was easy to tell the PCs to stick to Solars.

Poll: What was the first non-D&D system you ever GM'd?

Same here. It's also a huge setting with lots of different possible PC types. If I'd tried starting with WoD with my current group I'd have people clamoring to be werewolfves, vampires, ghosts, hunters, and more. That's a lot of different subsystems to learn for someone who is bad at saying no. :)

Thanks! It all looks great but it turns out I'm about to get to actually Rolemaster / Spacemaster for once instead of always being the one who runs it. I'm focusing on that for now. :D I'm sure I'll get back to designing the next campaign shortly, but for now I'm daydreaming of PCs and plots...

Question of the Week: What’s your favorite monster?

Kobolds ever since reading Tucker's Kobolds back when Dragon Magazine was still a thing.

    Prep-Time to Play-Time Ratio

I didn't even factor this in! I'm betting every GM out there's prep time will skyrocket if we include just thinking about the game. :D

Poll: What was the first non-D&D system you ever GM'd?

I voted Shadowrun but it's been so long that I'm only 75% sure of that. It might have been Rolemaster 2nd Edition.

    Introductions

I feel bad for saying hi without answering the questions. :) Frisco, TX. Just a wee bit North of Dallas. The last game I ran was Rolemaster 2E. The next will be Savage Worlds. Over the years I've ran every edition of D&D, Scion, Exalted, Shadowrun, TSR's Marvel Superheroes, and probably a few...
