When I was researching CL I swore I saw something about a tool to set up a campaign-world calendar that would then align with custom datestamps. Now I can't seem to find info about such a thing. Did I hallucinate this...?
Has anyone found a way to implement/simulate a custom calendar for ingame dates? I have no use for real world dates in my logs, but an ingame timeline is essential.
As long as your dates have a day, month, and year you can easily use %dd.mm.yy or the corresponding other formats. Still, for my Traveller campaigns I use %yyyyy-ddd, like %1106-321.
i was just today thinking about using campaign logger for a timeline, could the dates from logs be lifted to populate a separate log that is a timeline? does that even make sense?

I'm more of an idea man than a developer when it comes to this i can see two uses, one for world history to inform your dungeons and loot another to build a campaign session/adventure timeline.
Like im stealing alot of Matt colville's world history and im building a new campaign log next to my prep/session log plotting in big even or ERA notes like "the first men" or "fall of kingdom X" i have yet to put dates in them, but this can help inform me for future loot and sites and npc goals "I shall bring about the second rise of the kingdom askia!"
pre or suffix could be dates + era name like the chinese dynasties
