HELP: Ideas for challenging my player’s OP characters

I'd forgotten about environment, Mother Nature is a harsh opponent! Space Station is great, you can throw in underwater sea base or submarine in a similar manner.

[Ideation] Cyborg weapons systems research facility

If two of the characters are experiments the implants/themselves could be worth a lot of credits, maybe the mistreated servants might want to escape with the pay day of the prisoners they have got to know well as their ticket out of there.

HELP: Ideas for challenging my player’s OP characters

Kinda figured you have to hit them where it really hurts, I forgot to throw in moral dilemas - save the school bus or stop the villain is a classic. I need to get round to watching that show, it is meant to be good.

HELP: Ideas for challenging my player’s OP characters

Not a system I know, but a few suggestions would be - Environment - do they fly, then stick them in corridors or underground. Underwater secret villain base? Cold powers might struggle in a volcano lair. How about onboard a space station or a Nuclear Missle Silo. Innocent Bystanders - Super...

What's your ideal number of sessions per adventure?

This, for sure. I have lots of story plot ideas and I'm trying to react to player actions, but I think I throw a bit too much at the players. I know I try and weave something in for all the players and sometimes its a bit muddled,

    Treasure in prison?

Drones are a thing these days to get stuff into prisons so you might have wizard familiars, mage hand, telekinesis, trained hawks and such bringing things in for inmates. Tapping into that or intercepting 'shipments' might prove fruitful (and annoy inmates/important people). There is also the...

What's your ideal number of sessions per adventure?

As I selected the less useful (?) other I'd best comment! I've been fortunate enough to run mostly long haul games, current Monday game is close to 40 sessions, my 2 year campaign is on hiatus thanks to the Covid. I've been rolling each session into the next with something akin to loopy...

[Ideation] Cyborg weapons systems research facility

Not so much info, but for the scene after gathering some information they set off (or someone notices and sets off) the release/awaking protocols on one or more of the containment units, they can try and get more info but more units will come online, Eventually they are forced to flee, chased...

RPG (System) for a SUPERS Campaign?

But its a Supers game, so you would then get "how did you return/faked your death/came back stronger" story!

Poll: What was the first non-D&D system you ever GM'd?

I have pretty much have all the Modiphius STA stuff, not looked at the older stuff although its considered as great for fluff and info. I'm curious on any major differences for the preference?

Poll: What was the first non-D&D system you ever GM'd?

    I counted Pathfinder as essentially D&D :)

    VTTs

I went in on the Kickstarter, wasn't expensive and it looked decent enough. Less of a tactical tabletop approach which I kinda like. When the Beta hits I can try it out and update here.

How long do your sessions usually last?

This one is a variable for me. Monday nights are around 2.5 hours. Wednesday games (on hiatus thanks to viruses) were more of a 2 hour thing as we'd meet up and have dinner first, and then fit in a game until 10pm. We've also on occasion booked out a Saturday when calendars/kids/pets/spouses...

    Using Microscope

Welcome to the Microscope fun @Zantan @ejnotts I guess it depends on your group and what you are planning, for just a couple of sessions type one shot or a quick game of something Microscope might be overkill, but it was with my very regular group of best friends and planned for the start of a...

    Using Microscope

You could use a trello board online and chat, because of the way you organise cards and discuss things I think a forum approach wouldn't really work, but as long as you can organise the cards in some kind of display it works for online play. You don't need a GM, I acted more as a guide to the...
