7-Day GM Organization Challenge

In my experience, the best answer is in the first place you'd look.

So file it there. Then pay attention when you go to access it next time. If you search more than one place until you find the information, then move the information to the actual first place your started that search with.

For that specific stuff, I put it in ~House Rules. House Rules, according to my unique and personal intuition, contains everything related to crunch. Tactics might never have a clear bucket, but as they are often based on the stat block my brain wants to find stuff like that in ~House Rules.

You do your thing, though. That's the whole point of Campaign Logger. Rename all the Tags and Page categories to how your brain works. I was tired of software imposing on my campaigns.
Thank you much for your reply! Yeah I am gonna start using that logger and get the subscription cuz from what I seen on them videos it's really handy it seems. I recently started using Notion which works pretty well also but the way the logger links things together is awesome. The way you do things is really helpful and makes sense to me. Thank you again buddy!

So I finished my buckets and organization stuff. I went with CAST OF CHARACTERS (same as video for sub folders) DM SCHOOL(basically any kind of note documents and audio files stuff like that) INVENTORY & STOCK(Equipment, treasure, magic items, objects, etc.) STORYBOOK(Adventures, Encounters, monsters, plotlines, traps&puzzles, basically things I use to create my campaign of adventures), DMS TOOLBOX(Books, cheat sheats&templates, Maps, Tables of any kind(roll tables and stuff like that) and extra things), THE BIG PICTURE(World, Locations, Sites, Dungeons&Lairs, cities and stuff like that). I don't have a in game one yet cuz Im still working on planning out my 2nd campaign once I start it I'll create one

Part of me looking forward to the Challenge - part of me dreading it as I am among the most disorganised individuals ever.

I am wondering if I could use something like Alfa E-Books Manager to organise my hard copy books/etc and my DTRPG stuff - I'm willing to learn from experiences (both good and bad)

Neat! I did not know Alfa E-Books Manager existed and will check it out. Thanks for mentioning it.

I enrolled for the challenge but haven't received the email for today's challenge? I'm only asking because it appears like others are working away already, but maybe I'm wrong? Eager!! :)

I haven't gotten mine either but it is Thanksgiving in the USA so that might be a factor in why you haven't gotten anything yet

I'm in Canada and my email from Johnn literally showed up within ten minutes of posting here, lol. Thanks for the responses.

Normally I would have come back and posted I was good to go sooner, but I had to go down a "why is my internet running at 5% speed?" rabbithole and that kept me busy for the last hour...

Internet sorted and watching video now!

@sarahbholm Hi! I checked and the Giant Steaming Machine says you are registered and are set to receive all the emails.

Give it a few more hours, and check spam and filtered folders just in case.

If no luck, I'll restart it for you.

Cheers.

Is anyone else finding they can't scrub through the video? I can drag the progress ball-bearing along the timeline but then it snaps right back to where it was without actually changing where it is in the video? This is on Chrome.

Otherwise on day 2 of the course and already loving it :)

Yes, me too. I came here to make this same comment. It's a barrier because I can't go back and look at the list of buckets (for example) after I finished watching the Day 1 video without letting the whole thing play again :(

Interesting! Do you have the same problem with other browsers? I am using Chrome myself and could move the time bubble around as I like.

A quick search and experiment verified that this is a known "bug" in Chrome: If you navigate the URL for the first time or it has never been downloaded to 100% before, the seek bar is defunct. After reaching the 100% and the refreshing the browser it works just fine.
