I have a friend who is a fantasy novels author. We know each other for a long time and even played TTRPGs together (I GMed).
Recently, he introduced me to his common novel structure and what he had learned over the years.
Although the medium is different, how we think about story structure is similar between novels and roleplaying campaigns.
Please find below the 7 Point Story Structure by Dan Wells:

although I don’t find it useful on session level, I find it very useful to structure my game on campaign level.
Hope it helps!
