Okay, I'll block 21st and 28th for Lonely Tower. Although I think that actually god fighting power and magical knowledge -- from a powerplay perspective -- are needed more.

You're right, Jochen, that was a mistake by me.

Boneyard of Barons: on July 14 with coldculture, Eremis, Teo, Nichuan, and Hogar ? I think that this will take longer than 1 session and 3 mages might be overkill? What will coldculture play?
Lonely Tower: on July 21 and July 28 without Teo and Nichuan, but with Bausum and Eremis + x ? Would be a pity for the mages.

Gnome City / Halls of the Kings: I would suggest then that we see what we can find out about that small settlement within the mountain and the halls of the kings soon. This could be ideal for the July 14 one session including Martin as that NPC or even Teo (with his Dwarven language skill) and Nichuan. And of course Eremis. I'm unsure if it is a good idea or bad idea to take Benedikt there.

If we fix July 14 for this small part, we can then take Bausum with us to the Boneyard of Barons on July 21 and July 28 and go to the Lonely Tower when Jan and Martin / Björn are available afterwards.

I don't need and want to participate every week and in every adventure. It would be nice to play on 14th and on 28th but I can easily join a session on 28th, only.

I think we should aim for two- to three-session-games. I also think we should give every game the space it needs. That's what we decided on earlier anyway.

For me it would be ideal if we had a session every week(*) with two games running in parallel where I would join one of them (since I have only one character). Players with multiple characters and enough time could join two different games simultaneously but not both with the same character. Pre-planning two games in advance where the same characters join both hasn't worked in the past, and I don't think it ever will.

(*) Depending on Jochen having time for us.

Interesting... so you suggest two different groups of players also? Those that play in the first and third week and those that play in the second and fourth week? Of course there may be mingling and overlap and change, but surely it is easier if you stick to one group knowing that they(you) have just completed an adventure and you don't need to jump onto another group, if you know what I mean.
Interesting, because this could give a little bit more rivalry.
On the other hand, it would result in two different groups for Jochen, instead of "real west marches".

I'm ok with planning spontaneously after an adventure and looking to block 2-3 sessions (= weeks) in a row, but I would also be ok with playing every other week.

All I'm saying is: Choose your game, stick to it, and after it's done, choose the next. With the same group, with another group, with whoever is available. I'm not talking about two permanent different groups.

  • Lonely Tower on July 21 and 28 - Eremis, Bausum - Nichuan not sure, another seat open

@FelixDizzy : So this is the place new games in Borderland (Dungeon Fantasy) are announced. Although there is the expectation that someday English-speakers will join the west marches style campaign, the groups still consist only of Germans and we play in German.
@JochenL: Jochen, Felix joined our session yesterday with Sebastian and I got him hooked up. :ROFLMAO:
Let's see if we can't have a session with him soon.
Regarding character, Felix, would you like to create a new one (without the former restrictions on class etc.) or would you like to continue with your skald from the north?

Great, I'll add you!

EDIT: And welcome aboard!

Upcoming games:
  • July 14: Foray Into Twilight Forest - Arthur, Illandor, Foxrouge, (@Rardian)
  • July 21: New Character Intro - Hrgungdvar, (@coldculture) - possibly: (@Mokopolis), (Tim) or two seats open
  • July 28: Lonely Tower - Eremis, Bausum, Nichuan, (@FelixDizzy)
I would love to take part on July 21. But what exactly do you plan? Shall we choose another location or do you have something in mind with "New Character Intro", Jochen?

I am not yet sure what the exact scenario will be. You are welcome to join. In case it will not finish this evening you will miss the Tower, though.
