Campaign Logger feature roadmap?

Reading through these forums, I can see references to many new features that (i'm assuming) are in development:

Is there a public roadmap available anywhere? If not, is this something that you would consider doing? D&D Beyond have a great example of the sort of thing i'm hoping for: https://trello.com/b/vIKxuEs8/dd-beyond-feature-roadmap

To be clear: i'm not asking for specific dates for specific features. As a software engineer myself, i know how impossible it is to make those sorts of promises and then keep them.

How are new features announced currently? There doesnt appear to be a changelog or anything published on Campaign Logger itself, or anything in this forum. Are there other places that feature announcements go to?

Yes, we're planning on having a roadmap.

Once we have the new version out, dubbed vNext, we'll discuss this and see where we're at.

We're currently running a closed beta and are hoping to release a public beta soon. (No pressure, dear devs, take all the time you need! ) Maybe we can even give you something like a roadmap to the roadmap!

Thanks for the info. When vNext is ready for wider release, how will you let the community know?

If you're looking for more folks for the closed beta, i'm happy to help out. I also understand that adding in new people half way in is likely to make it more difficult to get the work done, especially if someone has to take the time to explain the current state.

I'm not sure if you have any sort of policy around open source or community contributions, but if you do, i'm a software engineer and am happy to help out.

I'll let @JochenL and @Rardian advise on access to the closed beta.

For announcement, that's my department. Being the guy full of hot air, I'm good at warming up the internet. I'll be announcing the beta based on what the team decides when we get closer to release. For example, we'll probably invite the first wave of GMs via an email to existing CL subscribers and RPT Patrons. When we open the beta up to a wider audience, I'll possibly put a callout in the newsletter.

And when vNext leaves beta, I'll post in the usual places online, such as news forums, the RPT newsletter and blog, emails to all CL subscribers, social media, etc.

We'd love to get your help! We have a private community here for volunteers who love to tinker. The current CL app has an open API and a wiki. @ELF what is the current best URL to point to for public documentation?

As for contributing to nVext beta, I'll let @JochenL also speak to that.

I'm not familiar with the API, I don't think there is any current API documentation.
