changing colours

Is it possible to change (make darker) the colour of the tag preview underlay? With the contrast possibilities of my monitor it is impossible to distinguish the different entries.

In the upper right is a slider for dark mode. Maybe this is better to discern. You could install a browser plugin for theming everything to your liking but this might be involved.

We have custom theming in our backlog but not yet scheduled.

Please do a Ctrl+F5 Reload of the page. I might be mistaken, though, and the dark mode is still on preview and not in production.

Ctrl + F5 is the same as clear cache and reload in the right upper corner, correct?
This didn't bring back the slider.. maybe the slider is not inlcuded in the current version..

I have to say, I tested the "Dark mode" and it's also not a solution to the greyish overlays, which are not recognizable on certain screens.
I definitely need a stronger colour like "the orange" of the old CL, to be able to work with the new version effectively.
BTW: I also have hard times to work with the new version of CL, because the tag preview drop down menu itself. The new logger shpws only 5 options. Again the old version was much better, giving me 9 possibilities to choose from, which was way more comfortable to work with.

All in all I'm getting used to the new CL, but still I'm not very happy and would rather game with the old CL, if it would be still supported. I am hoping, that you can do something about those issues, because I really liked (the old) CL very much and it improved our games a lot. I appreciate your work a lot!

Hopefully lastly, I recognized one more thing with the tag previews, I really wish it could be fixed, to make it better to work with the new version.
I'll try to describe the difference beetween the old and the new version, but it's a little complicated to explain.

In the old CL, the tag-preview drop down, was always shown, when I moved the cursor within the tag (with the cursor keys) and it checked the tags letter by letter all the time. So when I went back with cursor keys (not with the mouse) into the written tag, it gave me the preview window and showed me the other tag options, by checking the spelling of every letter. Once there were other options in the drop down, I could choose them with the up/down cursor keys. Therefore it was very easy to change a tag afterwards, when I realized, that I chose the wrong tag just before.

In the new version of CL, this is not possible anymore. After I have selected and written a tag in the preview window, I don't get the preview drop down shown, when I later move the cursor with the cursor keys (not the mouse) into the tag and I cannot choose them with the up/down keys anymore. To work around that, I have to use the "backspace" key to delete any letter within the tag to make CL check for the drop-down menu options again. But this is annyoing, since the backspace deletes a letter in the tag, which changes the entry for which the CL is checking then. This makes it really worse of course, if you delete the first letter of the tag (just to make the drop down menu to come back again), as it wont check the same beginning. I wish I could use the cursor keys again, without having to use backspace anymore..

The next update will bring it back to nine.

Yes, that's an issue with our current autocomplete component. I am afraid that we need to wait for the new editor with our custom implementation.

Hi Jochen.. I just tried the cursor versus the backspace for autocomplete, but I think it is not yet implemented. Am I correct?

What is keeping you from releasing the new editor, Jochen? Are some significant features still missing, or do you just need thorough testing?
I need to do some integration work first, then I will push it to Preview.

Will there be a feature in the future to mark something as overlay over an image? for example:

In my hex crawl campaign I would like to mark on my hex map (a jpg file) where the players walked, and on which hex they stopped last session and so on..
just like a pen function with maybe a few colours to choose from..

That sounds cool!

Yes, there is an idea to add a canvas to the UI. This should then be available to images, too.
