One of the things I like to do with the logger is create intro logs for each of the "objects" whether that be a character, npc, city, unique items, etc it allows me to not clutter my daily logs with information about something and keep the logs for the most part wrote in story fashion while giving me a single post related to a given topic that serves as an info dump should I want to look into that given thing.

They generally look along the lines of (ignore random symbols):

@intro @npc @"Valspar Gen" first met in ^Loggerville , has a home there and a shop called ^"fresh herbs" specializing in herbs and medicine. She is fairly tall 6.1 with red hair and a hard complexion, she wears clothing akin to a hunter that are dyed, she is a member of &Haven but has no position of authority with them. She was slighted by @"Gerald footjumper" when he insulted her work, her goal is just to provide for her small village through her skills.

Then as time goes on, relationships to players and other npcs grow more meaningful, if she happens upon or is given any item of note, or serves in some roll to turn the tides, I will go back to the info dump to add to her log.

This one helps me from looking into all the logs related to her, and any meaningful events are marked in the intro so that I know what tags to search for if I am looking for the backstory of that event. this also puts everything at a glance that I can pull up when the characters have an interaction with her to see if there is any factors or something she might know or might like or dislike (like being slighted) and react accordingly

Whelp I'm new here and I'll be using the logger for a modern day Vampire the Masquerade campaign. I will be using each way that an npc can be categorised as an organisation, ie neonate, brujah, Camarilla, kindred, npc, so I can build up a broad range of npc's before I start, and find a way to tag them with their relationships with each other. Possibly an entry for each relationship as time goes on. None of the generators will be of much use but the tagging and cross-referencing will be!

Hi, This is my first post. I'd love to see examples of how other users use CL. It strikes me as having powerful potential as an app, but you also need to have some sort of system in mind when completing logs to make the most out of it for prep, & tracking plots & events.

Does anyone have a log they'd be willing to share so newbies like me can import & have a look? Or perhaps screen captures of how people are using the app. I've not been able to find any tutorial videos on exactly how people use the app beyond it's functionality. @jay_rads post was good, looking for more stuff like that. Thanks.
