In another life, I am a huge fan of the Infocom interactive fiction stories such as Zork.

I ran across this tool called Inky which is an interactive editor for interactive fiction running on an opensource engine called Ink.

The thing that caught me was that you can start planning many branching storylines and plots within it.

This might also be highly adaptable to solo gaming, encounter designs and playing "what if" for adventure scenes... so I thought I would share it here.

Thanks for this! Another option for writing interactive fiction would be Inform (and there are other less known options as well):
Inform is a free app for creating works of interactive fiction, available for MacOS, Windows, Linux and Android. Inside it is a powerful programming language based on English language text. This redesigned website is part of the preparations for open-sourcing the software.

Inform is compatible with Infocom's "z files", meaning that you can run the old Infocom adventures on a more modern engine.
