Hello everyone! I've been playing DnD since 2017. I've been the GM for my group of friends since 2019 playing D&D 5e only.

The only published WotC adventure I've run and completed is Princes of the Apocalypse, and I've been running modules I find on DMs Guild for the past few months. I am planning an Eberron campaign now and I'm hoping the community here can help me structure a satisfying story.

Also, I'm so tired of virtual D&D. My group is planning on getting back together in person in three weeks, after most of us has been vaccinated. And, I couldn't be happier about that.

I'm a fan of the d8. For some reason I find the shape of it pleasing.

Welcome, @yellow_mango! Nice to hear that you are going to let the virtual world behind and can meet again under safe circumstances.
If you are planning on creating an adventure (or even a campaign) right now, Johnn's videos are a great start! Just post any questions and we will open our treasure boxes of past experience for you.

Hi! Been playing RPG's since I was a kid starting back in ~1981. My current passion is modern genre RPG's, but like everyone else, I mostly started playing D&D, and then I picked up Top Secret and the James Bond 007 RPG a few years later. Currently using WOIN:Now, but have run games in Top Secret, Top Secret NWO, Spycraft, Spycraft 2.0, and GURPS. Have come to love the VTT (I use Roll20), but it has set higher expectations for my players, and thus, it's more work for me. Delighted to be a new Johnn Four Gold Patreon and keen to take advantage of all that it offers.

P.S. And I'm noticing in the previews that this rich-text editor removes the 2-spaces after a period. :censored: Restore Sanity! 2 Spaces 4 America! Yes, I'm old and I learned to type the old-fashioned way....

At 21, I think I might be the youngest one here.
Now, you receive a +1 bonus to your age and wisdom score and it is still a very long way until you receive penalties for old age, Thomas!
Happy 22!
By the way, how has it worked for you? Trillions of ideas?

Hi everybody! I'm Ferran from Burriana (Spain). I started playing a custom version of Cyberpunk in 1996 at the age of 10, and later in 2000 I started GMing D&D3.5. Since then I have played also Vampire The masquerade, Star Wars d20, Trail of Cthulhu and a 10-years-lasting campaign of a game I have designed with two friends. Now after several years playing but not GMing, I have started a Legend of The Five Rings campaign. And prepping this campaign in Campaign logger is how I have ended here =)

My favourite dice is a d20 mi wife gave me when I asked her for marrying.

Hi everyone. I've subscribed to Johnn's email list for longer than I can remember. I have played D&D since 1980 (red box set for Christmas) and have DM'd since the early 90s. I resisted the change from Pathfinder to 5e due to the lack of variety, but have come to enjoy the standardization and appreciate it more now that it has been expanded.

We are DDB-heavy players. I bought most/all of the rule books and then won an ultimate package that provided all the adventures.

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica and my gateway game was a VtM Larp back in the 90s in Honolulu. I've played and ran many different games/systems since then, and even met my husband @riderv3 through gaming around 20 years ago. I really enjoy too many games to name. I like games that involve magic, personal flaws, questionable choices, and don't force me to follow an adventure path. My favorite die is a D4.

Welcome to the forum, Jessica! And nice summary of Rhea‘s adventure in the LFP thread. I would be interested to know what else you played over the years.

Heyho together!

My name is Sebastian! I am 43 years old, come from Münster (North Rhine-Westphalia) Germany and play roleplaying games since 1988. 5 years later LARP was added. In all these years I was almost never a player but only a game master.

As a game master I have played:
-DSA (The Black Eye)
-D&D
-Ad&D I &II
-Gurps
-Midgard
-Shadowrun
-Rolemaster
-Runequest
-World of Darkness (all)
-Star Wars
-Star Trek
-Call of the Warlock
-Hero (soon)
- and some others.

My favorite dice is and remains the D6!

PS: My English is not really good, please just overlook that! ;-)

Although I only played once with him, I might add that he is an enthusiastic writer (as you can read here) and an engaging player.
Welcome, Sebastian!

Hey everyone!

I'm Craig from Oklahoma. I've been GM'ing since around 2004, starting my first year out of high school. Most all of the campaigns I have been in or ran have been custom campaigns set in the Wheel of Time universe. We started off using the old 3.5 rules for the Wheel of Time Roleplaying Game because we were all fans of the novel series. We eventually completely homebrewed our rules. Though our players and campaigns changed many times, we finally wrapped up our adventures in that world a few years ago. The longest running campaign in it was honestly about 8 years running and hundreds of adventures and a dozen or so players off-and-on.

Currently, I'm GM'ing a campaign set in the Shadowrun universe, in the 2070s, using the Cypher-System rules. We just got started and it's been a lot of fun currently, though challenging at times to make those two systems work together (Shadowrun's intense crunch and Cypher's incredible simplicity, especially for the GM). We're much smaller now--just myself and three main players, and one or two that pop in here and there.

I've followed John's emails for years, but just now joining the forum (and now using the awesome Campaign Logger). As my life is much busier and complex than it was in my late teens and my twenties, I'm looking forward to utilizing this site and John's advice to streamline my time to still provide an epic story with my players without dumping hours into building each week like I used to.

Happy Birthday, Craig! (@Caragond)

You have been awefully quiet these past months. Did you find what you were looking for in the forum, in Campaign Logger, or even in Johnn's great courses? I would love to hear from you, and especially about this intriguing Cypher System you talk about (and I don't know anything about) and how you are able to combine it with Shadowrun.

Greetings all, im mike Outrider11us in here, ive been doing rpgs since 1975, old guard here. Ive refed, gmed, dmed tons of different rpgs over the years, DND was always number one, traveller was fun, but nobody plays it any more. Savage worlds-ww2 horror has been a lot of fun as is call of cthulhu.

my dnd setting is named Beldorn, each edition of the dnd is a new era. Original dnd is prehistory, 1st age adnd, 2nd adnd 2, 3 and 3.5was third age. We bypassed 4th ed dnd for pathfinder so it sits as an alternate world and 5th is 5th age age

I really like this kind of meta-gaming!
I am very fond of my AD&D + Greyhawk memories.

Ha! You are in the right place!
I like Traveller very much. @ExileInParadise is an edition guru. @JohnnFour is starting out on planning his first campaign.

Good for john, which version of traveller he thinking of. I preferred classic with all the booklets, although t20 traveller looked intriguing
