Question of the Week: What's the coolest world feature you've seen or created?

Name something memorable from a setting your played or GM'd.

For example, the default setting in Blades of the Dark is the soot & swords city of Duskvol.

One cool unique feature about it is the dozens of micro thieves' guilds it has. These are called Crews. Crews have a reputation (based on capability) and heat (how wanted they are by authorities). Crews also get unique Boons.

This world feature makes for awesome faction play.

Yeah, you also got Regio when you entered a church, and on some cemeteries. While I never GMd Ars magica, our group played it with several chronicles. I always loved the use of latin words for magic. Creo Ignem, Muto Terram, Intellego Vim. And the hand signs that went with it.

The easy example is Glorantha! With myths manifesting real world effects. There is a forest called The Print. It is in the shape of the foot print of a god who stamped down hard on an evil monster. It hurt his foot, and he limped away. But it caused a forest to grow up in the valley that was made by his foot, and there is a source of evil monsters in the center. I could go on for days.
