@JochenL and I are pondering what VTTs we might make Campaign Logger compatible with in the future.

It would help us a great deal if we knew you're preferred tech.

Will general market stats show Roll20 is the 800 lb. gorilla in the industry right now, you are not the general market. You are RPT GMs! And we do things our way.

So if you have a moment, please let us know.

Thank you!

I primarily use CTT, I will add Foundry in the future, though.

I'm using roll20 as a player atm, and used it as GM in the past. Bought Foundry recently and plan to move to it with my next games so I put FoundryVTT

I've explored most of the popular VTTs out there.
Tremendous support on all of them for D&D, but just try and play Traveller or some lesser Sci-Fi RPGs.

Foundry - probably the most flexible platform but requires someone with some development skills to build char sheets, etc. Doesn't have "official" license to titles I play, so it's sort of the "open-source" option. Great support community.
Fantasy Grounds - I couldn't handle the old UI, but now is built on Unity and has licensed Traveller content, so that's my go to. Also has great support community (actually, they probably all do)

Playrole.com (kickstarter that has limited content but is growing)
Let's Role (Kickstarter project heading in to public-ish Beta)
Roll20 - I can't handle the UI at all.

Using Fantasy Grounds (included in the poll), but wanted to mention that we are looking at doing hybrid virtual/in person sometime in the future, and I'm looking at Owlbear Rodeo as a way to keep the game basically "paper" but be able to share maps during online sessions.

I use both Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds Unity. Roll20 for the most part because it is available to more people because of it's popularity

My rule system is WOIN so it's hard to find VTT's with decent built-in support for WOIN. Roll20 has worked adequately, though more character sheet and rule system support would be very desirable. Otherwise, for mapping and general game play, I'm very pleased with Roll20. I am a pro subscriber, which helps.

I am a Pro user on Roll20 and use it exclusively. I have sessions twice weekly for two hours each session. I purchased the Compendium which makes adding monsters, weapons, and spells a snap (automatically - drag and drop and done). After nearly three years of use, I am completely dependent on this site for all my D&D play, and I wouldn't have it any other way now.

Newest remote VTT that we have fallen in love with is SHARD. Works easily, and easy to overcome a very minor learning curve.

I run AD&D 1E and Classic Traveller so none of the VTT's have much support for my games. Also, since I'm old, all of my campaign materials are on paper and converting maps, encounters, NPC's and such to a digital format is too time consuming and requires me to learn new systems. As a lifelong 'IT guy' the last thing I want to do is more IT work so I can run a game. I did buy into the kickstarter for Foundry but found it too difficult to convert my games to VTT.

I have played using Zoom during the worst of the pandemic and found using two cameras (a camera on me and one as a document camera) was a fairly useful way to play but the other thing online play hinders is my player's responses. Direct feedback from players is so important to how I GM. I find online play difficult and much less fun.

I had 3000 hours into R20 Pro then switched to gaming exclusively on Foundry. I run 5e, OSE, Alien, Vaesen, Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, and Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea (ASSH). Of all these rulesets, only ASSH did not have support in Foundry which required that I hack together a char sheet for my players.

Foundry is my tool of choice. Can run any system in it if you have a pdf character sheet. Just make it form fillable and use the pdf reader module and you are golden. Will be using it for SWN 2e and my next D&D 5e campaign
