WoA: Foundry VTT Workshop Oct 12

Jochen is hosting some Foundry VTT 101 training on Saturday, October 12 at 12pm Mountain, 2pm Eastern, 6pm UTC.

Goal: Start from scratch and have Foundry set up and ready to GM with, plus have a basic encounter prepared in Foundry to run.

Notes

1. You'll need a Foundry license to follow along with the steps. You can not have a license and just watch. But if you do have a license, then we'll be able to help sort out any wandering monsters you might encounter as you follow along.

1. We will give you a free Foundry server for 30 days so you do not need any Foundry hosting for this workshop.

1. You are also welcome to lurk and watch, without using Foundry.

What's in the Workshop
Time permitting, we're aiming for:

1. Learn how to find and install a Game System.

1. Set up your world.

1. How to find and install add-ons and our suggested starter add-ons.

1. Configuring your Foundry name, avatar, and other similar settings.

1. Create a Scene (encounter) with a monster, a bit of treasure, and a map.

1. Walkthrough of the interface => the left and right menu panels.

1. How to add players and characters.

1. How to run a combat and some tips (rolling, pinging, targeting, damage, etc.)

This is quite a bit of stuff. And it depends on questions and how we progress through the steps as a group. So we're aiming for a couple hours and then see where things are at near the end for next steps.
