If a GM ever wanted a tattoo about GMing ... "Map Monster Chest" could be one.
Since first running into those three words in that order here, they occur to me constantly now looking at encounters, 5 room dungeons, NPCs and more.
What's the Map? What's the Monster? What's the Chest?
Chant it like a mantra...

Indeed, OODA is basically something to consider between each player's turns.
The short version might even be "having fun?" "having fun?" "having fun?"
