Unexplained Formatting Errors on bulleted lists

I am having a weird problem with long bullet lists inside numbered lists in campaign logger. The following picture shows how all of a sudden the last few entries are NOT FORMATTED like the other entries when pasting into a log entry (any ideas why???):

I should note this happens in Pages and Logs. I can copy the misformatted entry and put it someplace else and it does the same unformatted thing.

The unformatted look is due to being recognized as a "code block". Do these lines start with tabs instead of spaces?

No they do not. they are exactly like the other lines which formatted correctly. I'll double check but I copied a block from ChatGPT output. all the lines would have code blocks or all would be correct as they are all from the same block of text.
