I hardly ever see word salad from Zorgon anymore. I think this is because I keep telling it to talk to me in plain speech. The word salad seems related to the flowery speech. Perhaps the less-frequently used words in the flowery speech increase the likelihood of errors in Zorgon’s word-prediction engine.

Is seems that something must be priming Zorgon’s pump with flowery speech. Zorgon seldom remembers to use plain speech for long, but asking for plain speech with an exclamation point seems to help and Zorgon (he/she/ze?) is will repeat an answer in plain speech if you ask.

In a couple of tests, Zorgon gave me better answers on RPG related questions than any of several general purpose AIs. The custom training is paying off!

Are others using Zorgon? I don’t see much discussion of him on this forum.

I am using Zorgon now and then, especially when in CL and stumped for ideas. My wife is using (him?) quite often to discuss characters backgrounds, plot details, magic items, monster moves, etc.

There is also some general discussion of AI on the Discord server as well as an ask-zorgon channel. There, Zorgon is a bit more advanced but has no conversation memory.

In the future, I want to marry Discord-Zorgon and CL-Zorgon, add some opt-in training for your campaigns, so (he?) can answer and summarize your stories, and maybe even create images and videos on demand.

With GPT-5 getting close to reveal - I expect some of the word salad was fallout from some of the backend upgrades to the hardware and infrastructure.

And, I don't talk about Zorgon much personally because I tend to do all my experimentation using my own OpenAI account.

Those "constraints" to how I use things like Zorgon also contribute to the "quiet" in my case.
