How does Zorgon work?

Hello! New to Campaign Logger. I signed up because I understood that I could put all of my campaign details in, and Zorgon would be able to learn based on those details. But when I put in a character backstory and asked, "What tribe is X character from?" Zorgon made something up instead of telling me from the data in the backstory on the page I created for the character. I was hoping that Zorgon would learn about my campaign so I could ask questions inside the context of the details I had added so far.

I saw something in the paid tiers that made it seem like this functionality is only for the paid tiers, but I am not certain. I would happily pay for this service if I got that functionality, but I didn't want to pay and then find out I was wrong.

CL does not have this functionality yet. It's in our backlog.

If you know where you saw details about CL understanding your campaign details, let me know and I'll clarify that.

It might've been Monday's email where I talk about ChatGPT almost being at the point it can do that.

The email definitely set me off to start using Campaign Logger, thinking that was the functionality, but I was not sure what was meant by a few things on the subscription page.

"Generators" Free: built-in, Paid Tiers: built-in + custom.
I was unsure if custom referred to Zorgon and maybe having custom responses.

If you could find a way to index everything and turn it into an embed token so that Zorgon could respond based on the campaign notes, that would be amazing, and I would pay for that.

I tried making this independently, but my lack of professional-level Python skills has been a setback.

I have also been looking at chatbase.co for this use case, but it is not designed to be a co-GM like Campaign Logger.

Essentially, I have been looking for a fusion between Chatbase and World Anvil, and with a little work, I think Campaign Logger / Zorgon could be the answer.

Zorgon has already embedding support, but it is limited to Discord and RPT articles. Zorgon is currently learning the Demonplague. After that I will port the implementation over to CL and will allow users to select whether to train Zorgon on their content.

The Generators in CL primarily refer to embedding random-rolling dice tables into CL.

There is a sister site called Generator UI which is the interface to put in tables or lists of data and the "rules" for how to random-roll results from them - including embedding rolls on other tables within chains of results.

Once the dice tables are loaded into Generator - they can be set as push button "roll me this thing" from within CL.

Zorgon is evolving into the "next level" of generator where instead of loading tables and random generation rules - you just ask Zorgon and away he goes ... or he eats you. I am not entirely sure yet how that all ends up since I have not yet rolled a 1 in a Zorgon encounter.

But the idea is that your campaign data is loadable/exportable as JSON - which is also very handy to feed into Zorgon from within CL itself which is what Jochen has been talking Zorgon into.
