Happy Birthday, @Schubakah09!
Hello everyone! Zak here. I've been GMing for about 6 straight years now. I got pegged to DM for the group, we've tried a few others but...well I'm the group GM haha! I GM for 2 different groups of friends, both of which were new to D&D when we started. I've only GM'd D&D 5e, honestly no complaints with the system, I am more or less a fan of the direction WOTC is taking "One D&D"
I'm in the good ole Midwest in the USA, you want corn? I got you!
The D12 is my favorite die. I feel it's the blacksheep that hardly gets used, like d20s 3rd wheel...
Anyways, I'm starting both groups in new campaigns running Waterdeep Dragon Heist into the new Spelljammer Light of Xarxis which segways great into the world I've been slowly homeBREWING for a few years. I'm giving the free trial version of the campaign logger a try. I've got notes everywhere and Evernote, OneNote, one long google doc.... I just haven't found what works for me yet. So here's to giving CL a try.
I would love to see an example of that. Could you post a screenshot?Welcome! I think you will find CL beats all those others - at least it did for me.
Using content tags to group logs and pages, along with labels to sub-group them ... really works well for me.
I've also loaded a good chunk of the D20 5E system reference document into my CL so that I can now refer directly to core rule content directly from my pages and logs - its starting to turn CL into an interactive GM screen as well.
I would love to see an example of that. Could you post a screenshot?
talked a group of friends into trying it with me, and have somehow managed to keep it going!
Welcome, fellow German! My name is Sören and I'm living in Chemnitz, Germany
Happy Birthday, @Thierry DELPIERRE!Hi all, my name is Thierry (aka Zelli Gar). I'm playing RPG since the eighties. (That sentence sounds weird, like I'm in a kind of anonymous helping group of something ?!...).
I'm from France and a kind of "Grognard" let's say.
I'll never forget the day my friend introduced me to D&D. It was "listen I've a game with no boardgame elements, no cards, and you play with pen and paper and with strange dice". What, I've said. No way, It's a boring game. And I'm still in since that day.
We played that day the B1 module "In search of the Unknown by Mike Carr (I'm still having it. Collector !).
Of course you can imagine I've been playing a lot of AD&D modules, different style of RPG since that day, and one that I recall and haven't played a lot was 'Ring World" based on Larry Niven book. Rolemaster and MERP was tough also but you can't imagine the lore and feeling being in the Moria (was way before the movies guys).
My favorite die is D6. Or little D4 ?
I'm currently not playing a lot but I'm on Pathfinder and ready to jump in 5e soon. I'm trying also Fantasy Grounds.
it's been a long time since I've been on a forum, but I think it's a good idea now.
Voila !
Weather report West Germany: Sunny, 15°C (Dortmund).Southwest Germany is clouded in fog today. At least Freiburg.
Brrr, chilly!
Happy Birthday, Amelia! How have you been the last year? What was for you the most valuable lesson as a GM?Hello everyone! My name is Amelia and I'm so excited to be here 😊 I'm a professional DM, a science educator, and a learning design specialist and I've been playing TTRPGs for a little over a decade now. D&D 5E is my main jam but I've been getting into Call of Cthulhu, Lancer, and Blades in the Dark lately as well.
Right now I'm running a heavily modified Dragon Heist campaign (more heisting! actual dragons!), a campaign using the Call from the Deep module by JVC Parry on DMs Guild, a Humblewood campaign, and I'm gearing up for a Barovia/Lamordia Ravenloft campaign.
I also run regular one-shots for birthday parties, corporate team building, etc. Right now I'm using on the Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh adventure for those. I love working with pre-written adventures and modifying them to make them work for me and my groups.
I'm also working on developing a few courses on DMing as well as a program for schools that intentionally infuses social-emotional learning into roleplaying experiences.
I'm a denizen of Chicago, a fellow scorpio (happy late birthday, Stephan!), and my favorite die is the D8. I couldn't tell you why.
Hello new forum members! Welcome! Please leave a reply and introduce yourself. Where in the world are you? What game(s) do you GM? How long have you been GMing? What's your favourite sided-die?
Welcome!Hello! I’m Presley, 24 (SO close to 25!!!) from Washington (the state not the swamp). I GM 5e, dadlands, honey heist, and anything I can really get my hands on thats fun! I’ve been playing since 2002 (dnd is basically how I learned how to read) and I’ve been DMing since 2016! Im probably one of the few babies here so please take me under your wing! My favorite die would probably be percentile since it usually has the most chaotic use!
