Hello! Ariel, here, from Argentina, I'm using campaign logger to keep track of a new Whatsapp campaign I'm creating.
Very cool! Whatsapp supports images and Campaign Logger does too FYI.

Is the rest of your group reading them? Great to see a player taking notes!
Yeah, I used the export to PDF functionality and shared the doc as prep for the next session. They all appreciated having my not-so-great-notes rather than none at all :) At the moment I am fighting to get our main note taker invited to a campaign, which turns out more difficult than expected, as he seems unable to see it under his Joined Campaigns. But anyway, I'm sure we'll figure it out somehow.

Hey my name is Acacia, I live way over in New Zealand. I've been playing on and off for about 10 years, and just last year decided to try my hand at DMing. Turns out it's more fun than playing! My favourite die is a d12 because they remind me of a meathead barbarian I used to play.

Hello, my name is Mark. I've been playing since around 1980 with 1st Edition D&D. I've been DMing since about the same time, running through 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, and finally resting with 3.5. This is the version I've found the most enjoyable, and since I've spent $1000's on resources for that, I've chosen to not to spend more on 5th. I've run some Pathfinder and Starfinder, which I find to be a blast. Play a fair amount of MTG. My favorite die has to be either the d12 or d%. I had a monk with the feat "Flying Kick" which gave me a bonus d12 on a charge, and there's something about rolling percentiles that is awesome - that moment when you think you might get that elusive "00" is wonderful.

Hi all. My name is Sheridan, I live in Richmond, VA. I started playing roleplaying games in 1978 and have been GMing since 1990. Although I cut my teeth on D&D, I prefer Science Fiction/Fantasy genre games.

I currently run a weekly online game for Fallout 2d0 but I have a number of games I would like to GM sometime. I have:

Gamma World (1st-8th edition and homebrew world)
Rifts
TMNT
Traveller (Classic, Mega, and Mongoose)
Starfinder
The Expanse
Fallout 2d20
Dreams & Machines (new one - starter box)

My favorite die is the 8-sided (eight is my magic number).

Oh - and this will be the first year I am attending TravellerCon in Lancaster, PA.

Great list!

As a fan of No Man's Sky, I've been very curious about Dreams and Machines because the Wakers and Sentinels sound very similar to me.

Who am I kidding, I will get it soon ... and then mash it into their DUNE setup so that the pre-Jihad Synchronized Worlds is represented. Would be a shame if some of the old cybermeks ended up being dormant somewhere out in the sands of Arrakis wouldn't it?

Don't forget that solo/journal gaming can scratch the GM-this-cool-new-thing pretty much anytime.

Great list. I haven't played TMNT in 30 years. Gamma World I steal from for most games. Welcome.

Hello All, My name is Thomas - aka "Metevhal". I've been playing DnD for about 8 years, having been invited by a few friends from work who needed a place to play. I'm now retired with plenty of time on my hands. I started GM-ing since Covid through VTT (Roll20) with my own homebrew "Quests of Wildenham".
I live on Canada's east coast on the border between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

My Fav die would be a slate blue d8 with gold engravings - a beautiful combo and it just feels ***NICE***

Hello everone
Names Tuck, it's a nickname I've had most of my life, and came with me t FRPG.
Started with D&D first edition, stopped at 3.5 but currently getting my kids into a Pathfinder game. I used to get Johnn's Tips and Tricks email back when I played, and always check to see what's going on. With starting this new campaign I added the Campaign Logger to my repertoire of gaming apps, and look forward to all the assistance this community has always given me.

Howdy, my name is Jon aka aponly (story here). I've been RPGing since D&D original and through all the editions (except 4E). I've also played many other RPGs. I currently am running two D&D 5e via Fantasy Grounds (campaigns 4 and 5 since COVID). Campaign Logger looked cool and looks like a good option for documentation.

I'm from California, and I have never actually DMed anything. I'm trying to get up the nerve to try GMing something on MythWeavers, in the meantime, I'm working on organizing a solo game of Traveller for myself, so I can learn to play it and GM it. Other games I've played (mostly in forums) are D&D, World of Darkness (Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage), Pendragon, Shadowrun (I love Shadowrun!), and Fate Core: Diaspora. I also play Minecraft, No Man's Sky, Spore, and The Sims 3 (I need to switch over to TS4).

I don't have a favorite die. I love all my children equally.

Welcome! You will find a huge dragon's hoard of good GMing advice here - I wish I'd had this pile when I was getting started! Solo gaming is a great way to experiment, and Traveller is particularly well suited to solo play. There are a number of great solo Traveller resources out there, but my favorite is SOLO by Zozer Games which has several different possible Traveller campaign types laid out with checklists and tables to fill in what the little black books didn't already have. For solo play, my *favorite* edition is 1982's "The Traveller Book" which is a single hardcover version of the classic three little black books, with 2 adventures included and a bare-bones sector. Of course, the real fun, especially soloing, is to roll up your own sectors and then go find out who and what is there ... sounds like you have a very fun winter lined up.

Hi all. 🙋‍♂️

Marcus here. Been playing on-and-off for 20 years, but GMing for my first time in a few weeks.
I live in Norway, but game online with my friends back in the UK, currently through roll20 and DnDB.
My favourite die is the humble d4. The 3 peeps I regularly play with are putting together their lvl5 characters over the next couple of weeks. I could go into the details of the campaign I'm planning, but I'm fairly sure the community will have heard it all before.

Glad to meet you all :)

Hello new forum members! Welcome!

Please leave a reply and introduce yourself.

Where in the world are you? What game(s) do you GM? How long have you been GMing? What's your favourite sided-die?
You can call me Adulcia.
I'm in New Zealand. I started GMing 3 years ago when my son (aged 12 at the time) wanted to get into the rpg hobby, so we got him the Essentials Box for his birthday present and started Dragon of Icespire Peak for a party of two of my kids, and father/daughter family friends of ours.

The game had a hiatus over Covid, and resumed earlier this year (2023) with a switch to Pathfinder 2e (thanks to WotC OGL scandal in Jan). I've created a parallel version of Phandalin and its surrounds in my homebrew world so the party could keep their characters backstories and pre-covid adventures remain canon. Cyrovain the Ice-dragon is still alive and harassing the town, so the party will need to deal with him soon, but in the meantime I'm also seeding the plot hooks for further homebrew adventures.
