RuneQuest for me. Changed my life.
Genesis is great. The rules let you play it straight crunchy or do narrative things. I wish more people got into it.I've DM'd one or two Fantasy AGE games - which is just D&D with d6s really. I'm playing in a Star Wars game at the moment and thinking of trying Genesys system for my next fantasy RPG.
I have to admit after a couple of more games of SW, I‘m sold! I’m going to run a short adventure in a homebrew setting in Genesys until our regular GM is back.Genesis is great. The rules let you play it straight crunchy or do narrative things. I wish more people got into it.
My first was Traveller (rpg)
Characters get their skills and experience in a mini-game, where the player makes career choices that determine the character's life right up to the point before adventuring begins. Funny thing...you could actually be killed during character creation!! But it is a fun game.

While trying to get an overview about the system, I stumbled upon a Spire Game Review which I want to share with you. Although it seems interesting on first glance, the d10 system and that NPCs only represent modifiers and stress is a general term for all kind of things is rather not my thing. Too much abstraction and a definite move from setting to system based on the system itself. At least that is my impression.
Apart from an interesting setting and an intriguing character creation process, what do you think about the system? Have you ever played it?
