  • Hola Campaign Logger GM!

    Done-For-You Migration September 2022
In the latter part of Sep 2022 we are migrating your data for you to the new version.

The original Campaign Logger, which we call V1 or Legacy that launched in 2015, is here:
    https://legacy.app.campaign-logger.com/

The new Campaign Logger, which we call vNext that left beta in 2021, is here:
    https://app.campaign-logger.com/

In September 2022 we will shut down the Legacy version. All of your data is futured-proofed because you can export it as plain text at any time, as often as you want.

To make the switch to vNext easier, if you have not already done so, we will import all your Legacy logs into vNext later this month for you.

In vNext, your Legacy imported logs will appear as one or more Logs titled "AUTOMATED LOG IMPORT".

Here's a screenshot of what to look for:

When you open an AUTOMATED LOG IMPORT Log you'll see all of your Legacy Log Entries, safe and sound, that you can edit, move around, delete, etc.

If you have any questions, feel free to hit reply or create support ticket at any time:
    https://campaign-community.com/index.php?tickets/

After the final migration from Legacy to vNext later this month, we will stop support for Legacy.

Any changes you make to your Legacy logs after that time will need to be manually migrated yourself, which is easily done by downloading from Legacy and importing into vNext.

Manual Migration of Log Entries from Legacy to vNext
At any time while Campaign Logger Legacy is still running you can download your Logs.

Go to the Campaign Logs screen and click the download button for each Log you want to export:

    Choose the JSON option:

If you just want you data without any formatting, choose the Text option.

To import into Campaign Logger vNext though, you will need a JSON file. It only imports JSON formatted log files.

Then, in Campaign Logger vNext [https://app.campaign-logger.com]:
    1. Go to the Campaign Page [https://app.campaign-logger.com/campaigns]
      1. To import into an existing campaign click on that campaign's Manage button:

      2. In your campaign settings within the Manage area, drag your JSON file onto this area, or click in the area and use your file system to select the file:

      3. Once import starts, you can close the Manage sidebar and the import will run in the background. A large file with hundreds of Log Entries could take 1d4+1 minutes.
    2. To import into a new campaign click on the create campaign button, create your campaign, then click the Manage button.

      1. After adding your desired campaign details, drag your JSON file onto this area, or click in the area and use your file: system to select the file:1662732408660.png
      2. Once import starts, you can close the Manage sidebar and the import will run in the background. A large file with hundreds of Log Entries could take 1d4+1 minutes.

    That's it!

In Legacy export to JSON, then in vNext import.

You can do this an unlimited number of times until we shut off Campaign Logger Legacy in late 2022.

We will send an email to all registered Campaign Logger GMs before we shut off Legacy as a final heads-up.

After September 2022, you will need to migrate any changes to your Legacy logs using the manual import steps above.

Again, if you encounter any wandering monsters, hit us with a support ticket at any time!

    Happy logging.
